Got Questions? We've Got Answers!

Learn more about our premium quality microchip products and their unique and functional features.

  • Why trust ADEQID® microchips?

ADEQID® microchips are registered in ICAR (International Committee for Animal Recording) and were granted a unique manufacturer code. These microchips are FDX-B (134.2 kHz) and comply with ISO standard 11784 and 11785.

Every microchip is coated with a micron thick layer of vacuum deposited Parylene C polymer for anti-migration and isolation from body fluids. ADEQID microchips are encased in biocompatible glass made by Schott®.

  • Why trust ADEQID® syringes?

ADEQID® syringes offer simple, intuitive implantation for both the animal and the user. This one size fits all syringe is utilized for both the 8 mm mini microchips and the 12 mm standard microchips. In order to easily distinguish one microchip size from the other, the syringes and needles are color-coded.

An orange syringe signifies the microchip is an 8 mm mini microchip while a purple syringe signifies the microchip is a standard 12 mm microchip. This allows vets to become familiar and comfortable with only one size of syringe for implantation.

The only difference in the syringes for the 12 mm microchip and the 8 mm microchip is the size of needle. The 12 mm microchips feature a 12 gauge needle while the 8 mm microchips feature a 15 gauge needle. Each microchip is individually packaged with a needle and syringe in a sterile pouch.

  • ADEQID® 2 x 12 mm Microchip Overview

The 12 mm standard microchips are the most popular and well-known size of chip. These microchips are delivered in a sterile single-use ADEQID® custom-designed syringe connected to an extremely sharp, medical grade 12 gauge needle.

The purple needle and purple syringe plunger make this 12 mm microchip easily distinguished from the 8 mm chip. The 12 mm standard microchips are encoded with a 15-digit microchip number.

This FDX-B microchip operates in 134.2 kHz frequency. The 12 mm microchips are delivered in boxes of 20 pieces with 6 barcode peel-and-stick labels for easy data management.

  • What is Clickn'Lock?

ADEQID syringes feature Clickn'Lock plunger mechanisms. When the syringe plunger is fully depressed, it give an audible “click” to ensure the microchip left the needle and was successfully implanted.

When correctly depressed, the syringe plunger’s pushrod will lock within the barrel and the needle and prevent the microchip from being retracted when extracting the needle from the animal’s tissue.

  • What is different about the ADEQID® syringe?

The ADEQID® syringes feature several additional innovative features. Barrel vents are used to prevent air from being injected into the animal’s tissue and adds to the ease of implantation.

Microchip passive locks with needle Drop Guard™ are used at the base of the needle’s bevel. These locks are small, silicone droplets that prevent the microchips from being unintentionally deployed. For quick waste disposal, bayonet needle connectors are present.

It’s as simple as twisting the needle hub counter-clockwise and removing it from the body of the syringe for disposal in a sharps container. Additionally, attractive features of the ADEQID® syringes aid in the ease and comfort of implantation.

A concaved thumb pad and ergonomically-shaped finger flanges are engineered for extremely convenient and stable implantation by the user. Not to mention, the optimal size of the syringe barrel and extremely sharp, double-beveled surgical needle provides smooth and accurate implantation of the microchip.

  • ADEQID® 1.4 x 8.5 mm Microchip Overview

Equally as powerful as the standard 12 mm microchip, but 30% smaller in size. The 8 mm microchips are delivered in a sterile single-use ADEQID® custom-designed syringe connected to an extremely sharp, medical grade 15 gauge needle.

The orange needle and orange syringe plunger easily distinguish the 8 mm microchip from the 12 mm microchip. 8 mm microchips are encoded with a unique 15-digit microchip number.

This FDXB microchip operates in 134,2 kHz frequency. These mini 8 mm microchips are delivered in boxes of 20 pieces with 6 barcode peel-and-stick labels for easy data management.
